Is Obama-Care Actually Necessary?
We already know that:
1) 70% of the American people do not want Obama-Care.
2) Most feel that it will raise their premiums, and their taxes, and the deficit, and reduce their freedom to get the care their doctor orders.
OK, so if Obama-Care is not desireable, is it necessary? Is it something we just "have to do" whether we want to or not?
Obama says that there’s $400 Billion worth of fraud, waste and abuse in the Medicare Program, which could be removed — they have found it — they know what it is — and they could remove it.
OK, why not just do it?
Is the government unable to remove fraud, waste, and abuse from Medicare without enacting a 2000 page bill that will totally transform healthcare in USA? What’s the Justice Department for? What’s the FBI for? Would they be able to deal with fraud? How about HEW? Couldn’t they deal with waste and abuse? Is the whole government completely paralysed without Obama-Care?
Obama tells us that 30 million people don’t have health insurance. OK, this is a land of liberty. Some of them don’t want health insurance, and that’s why they don’t have it. Obama says he’s going to force everyone to buy it. With what? The Marines? The National Guard?
Would it not be possible to subsidized poor people’s ability to get health insurance by sending them vouchers? Does this require a 2000 page bill? Do we have to change health insurance for all Americans to take care of helping poor people get health insurance if they want it?
Most of Obama-Care is not about health at all, or insurance at all. It’s about a New Kind of Marxism. This New Kind takes a page out of the book of the Robber Barons — the page that says "Money Talks". So the Obama people are just bribing their program forward — they are paying out massive amounts of your cash to create fellow travellers — Ben Nelson, Chris Dodd, and dozens of others. This is Marxism using the methods of the Robber Barons — just pay people off to get their votes. We could call it Chicago Style Marxism, in the Blagoavich tradition, or maybe the Bill Ayers tradition. Or maybe it’s just "community organizing" in the Saul Alinsky tradition. Anyhow, it is a steamroller, it is hard to stop because it really talks, the way Money Talks. The American People are likely to become part of the road, like frogs, or hedgehogs, or nice flat dogs.
Private insurors will wind up their health insurance businesses and close their doors to new customers if they have to insure people with pre-existing conditions. So, when Obama-Care is the law of the land, Obama himself witll have health insurance, and the Congress and Senate will have it, but nobody else will. Huxley in his novel "Animal Farm" points out that all the creatures on the farm are equal, but some are more equal than others. You want health insurance? You better get elected to Congress. 2010 might be a good time to run.
This plan is totally unecessary.

Do left handed people make the best president?
Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George Bush Sr and Bill Clinton have been left handed presidents and may people think that these men were some of the best presidents we have ever had. Interestingly, McCain and Obama are both left handed. Does this mean that no matter who we vote for we will have the best person for the job? Does the way a person writes really reveal their personality and their suitability for a job? Do left handed people really make the best presidents or is there something more?

Budget freeze & health care?
On Nov. 13th Obama froze spending to ease the deficit. So he says, so how are they paying for health care– without killing our seniors? (my Grandparents depend on Medicare)
I’ve found that when He saves a nickel he spends a trillion. no offense. Good Day
I am sure your Grandparents are familiar with the AARP. I am also sure that they would be interest to know that this well known, very politically active group of senior citizens has released repeated press releases supporting health care reform. Perhaps you should take a look at them and stop scaring the old folks.
The only people who don’t know who AARP is are definitely under 50 cause once you turn 50……they won’t leave you alone!!

From midnight journeys on the Underground Railroad to marches for women’s suffrage and civil rights, from the bomber assembly lines of World War II to the boardrooms of today, women have always shown us what we can achieve when we refuse to settle for the world as it is and choose to remake the world as it should be.

Although before the Civil War most women could not vote or holdoffice in any of the states.
In 1848 the national womens’ rights was born in the state of New York. 300 men and women referred to as amazons gathered in a small church in Seneca Falls to discuss womens civiland legan rights. The movement was led by Easterners Elizabeth Cady Satanton and Lucretia Coffin Mott.
Stanton felt that women should not be considered in ferior to men as had been implied in Biblical scriptures acording to St. Paul that women Keep silents and be in subjections.
Laws past between 1860-1890 that included womens rights took control their own earnings, to equal guardianship of children after divorce, to control and maintain property to share in a deceased husband’s estate and to enter into any occupation or profession. this included becoming a attorney, even though women could not legally sit on Illinois juries untill 1939.
By Nov. 1874 ten women were elected as county Superintedents of schoos.
Elizabeth Boynton Harbert and Frances E. Willard were two very inportant people during this time of the sufferage movement.
Illinois women finally recived limited franchise rights on June 19, 1891 when the state lgislature passed a bill that entitled women to vote at any election held to elect school officials.
On November 5, 1872 hundreds of women tried to vote in the presidential election. The most famous of these was Susan B. Anthony who was arrested, convicted and fined for her effort. Refusing to pay the $100. She stated, “Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God.”
On April 6, 1891 the first 15 female votes in Illinois were tabulated. In 1919 Congress finally passed the Susan B. Anthony Amendment that had first been introduced in Congress in 1878, simply: “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.” Illinios was the first state to approve this amendment. The 19th Amendment to the Constitution took effect on August 26, 1920. This made the United States the 27th country to allow universal sufferage.
