Obama froze the pay of some White House employees?
I was reading this story: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28767687/ and I still can’t seem to figure out A) what freezing their pay is supposed to do, and B) how is the legal for him to simply stop paying them?!

Obama’s whole agenda is to take money away from people that work and give it to people that are too lazy to work. This ideal is what got him elected. He didn’t waste any time in doing it.
he didn’t stop paying them….he froze their pay..meaning they can’t get raises…it is supposed to reduce govt. waste

Its about damm time! Congress has voted themselves 3 pay raises in the past 2 years or so while the economy was going in the toliet.They do nothing more than they ever did in their job but they would not allow a wage increase in years while giving themselves one.I agree with it.

Freezing their pay does not mean that he is not paying them; it means that he is KEEPING them at their current rate of pay without raises for a period of time. This goes with his policy that ALL AMERICANS must do their part and sacrifice to help the economy.
There are many workers across the country who have cut back their hours so that another worker would not be fired.
Many other workers have agreed to not take raises and not have a co-worker be fired.
He feels that he should not ask other employers and employees to do something that he and his staff would not do.

a.) Stop them from making more than 168,000 a year…. how will they ever survive… of course, that doesn’t include per deim, expense accounts, insurance..etc.

So I bet thats really killing them . It says the people making over 100 thousand. what ever the pay was yesterday they are still earning . I could work for anything over 100 thousand.
