Obama’s proposed 3-year spending freeze: Another insult to the intelligence of Americans?
After having an endless supply of money to give to the banks, for "surges," and for foreign aid–including rebuilding the latest country known as "Haiti"–Obama now tells America that they have to deal with even less money going to maintaining infrastructure and other services essential to the function of the country. Something that they had already paid for in taxes to maintain and that people tend to rely on more–especially in these economic times. More layoffs, more furloughs, cuts in salaries, fewer jobs, fewer loans, fewer contracts, fewer opportunities in an already bad economy, fewer safety nets, etc.
Obama’s economic policy: Help the wealthiest and most corrupt institutions, continue endless spending overseas, and simultaneously close off funds for domestic spending in the US. Isn’t this asking for economic disaster?
A progressive trying for the middle and thinking he can fool AMERICANS who KNOW who he is now.
HIS AGENDAS are what come first..this is yet another way to stop AMERICA’S growth and keep open the money for HIS AGENDAS ! Notice who makes the calls on what is supposed to be froze and what isn’t. This is supposed to save 250 billion over 10 YEARS! But in that 10 years he will still spend over 3 TRILLION! Does that make sense?
I don’t trust him…don’t trust his choices and do not think for one minute that he is trying to come to the middle to work on AMERICA. He is working for his AGENDAS in a different way because he FAILED by OPENLY denying AMERICA their rights with health care.
FREEZE? HA…until we can tell him what to freeze and what NOT to freeze..he is still running the PROGRESSIVE SHOW and doing what he needs to do to get that through.
PROGRESSIVES do not give up. DO NOT TRUST THEM…not for one second. They do not change their spots.
He is still spending…and will continue to spend..and use that money for other things and freeze what we need.
Why can’t he freeze welfare for generational families? If you are on welfare after two years when you should have been doing something to get off of it…then TAKE THAT ….believe me…that and money to ILLEGALS will fix our economy in a second. ALSO STOP giving to haiti and thinking we are their saviors. People on the left complain all the time we stick our noses in where they don’t belong…why is it ok when we spend money but not in defending ourselves?
There are many ways he can cut off money and make THOSE HARD DECISIONS…he just refuses to take a stand unless it is to fix HIS AGENDA and put us into another crisis.

It’s a response to populist outrage at excessive government spending. In absolute terms, the freeze is meaningless. We are still increasing spending for the next several years and a freeze will have little to no noticeable effect or reduction of our deficit.

Obama is banking on two things happening to soften the blow and I don’t think will happen. He believes the Economy is going to improve and inflation is under control. For his plan to work he needs these things to happen
1. Economy to improve creating more revenue for states to keep on employees. He needs the private sector to start churning out millions of jobs in order for this to work. States can’t keep the number of employees under the same stream of revenue they have now or without help from the feds. They can’t make unemployment payments from current budgets.
2. He needs inflation to not happen and maybe a little deflation to happen. Social Security didn’t get a raise in 2010 because prices are expected to be lower than 2009 prices (deflation).
I see this as a fail for Obama. The people who voted for him the most are the ones receiving the benefits he is not increasing. I think he will not go through with this and start cutting defense. It’s political suicide for Obama not to increase spending, He ran as a populist with a liberal hand for signing checks and to close the purse strings will surely be the end to him in the eyes of many that voted for him.

… we need to gut 75% of the defense budget and he’s actually increasing spending on that crap, its the biggest waste in the budget.
After a 75% defense budget cut we will STILL be spending 2X-3X more than any other country.
What’s happening to America right now is what happened to Russia when they couldn’t keep their ridiculous defense & militarization efforts alive.

The American people actually did elect a President that is dumber than a rock. Apparently he is incapable of learning from his past mistakes. Either that or he wants to be voted out.
